Duedil is looking for a machine learning specialist with practical industry experience working within areas of data mining and machine learning; specifically, classification, information retrieval, semantic analysis & text mining, and related areas.

This position will involve taking these skills and applying them to some of the most exciting large scale data and prediction problems that exist on the web.

You will develop tools leveraging machine learning, data regression, and rules based models, suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create effective feature roadmap and code deliverables in tandem with the engineering team.

Skills and Requirements

B.S. Computer Science, M.S. or Ph.D.
A minimum of 5 or more years experience in one or more of the following areas: Machine learning, large-scale data mining for analytics.
Proven ability to translate insights into business recommendations.

Expert knowledge developing and debugging in on *nix
Expert knowledge with languages such as Perl, Python, PHP, Java, C++, shell scripts or others
Experience with filesystems, server architectures, and distributed systems
Experience with Hadoop/Hbase/Pig or Mapreduce/Sawzall/Bigtable a plus
